The Schoolhouse Kitchen offers simple, home-cooked American fare at very reasonable prices, making it a perfect lunch stop for anyone biking the C&O Canal Trail. The friendly, family-run atmosphere feels like being welcomed into a neighbor's kitchen, with fresh-made meals and warm hospitality that locals and travelers alike appreciate. Located in the former Oldtown school building, it's a comforting spot to recharge before continuing the journey, complete with plenty of seating, easy bike parking, and even a nice canal-side walk nearby.
