The service was wonderful the food was great, catfish, sweet potatoes, string beans, cornbread, and lemon cake. The music was good we even had prayer. It was great a experience.

I took my godson and his Dad here for their 1st experience in a Soul Food Restaurant. I had the Catfish, candied yams, and cabbage. They shared the Trout and mashed potatoes. The food was excellent and I got full.
If you ever have a problem just talk to Mr. Porter, he'll take care of it.

Absolutely delicious!! The chicken was moist and not overly breaded - just right. The ribs fell off the bone w an awesome semi-sweet BBQ sauce, THE BEST flavored baked beans w meat morsels, homemade mashed potatoes w perfect brown gravy, slightly chard candied yams, tasty fried cabbage, loved the stewed tomatoes AND the corn bread was soooo moist and yummy - no butter OR jelly needed! The owner, Mr. Porter, was super nice and made you feel like one of the family - He knew all the ingredients, how everything was cooked"¦.this man was awesome! Great experience and SUPER food!!!

I live down the road, and it's amazing to have this so close at hand! Soul food on the eastern shore is a rare thing when most people guzzle crab meat and muskrat, so I feel blessed this establishment is near at hand!
My wife got the fried chicken, which was beautifully seasoned and cooked perfectly... And I mean it was juicy and l delicious! I enjoyed the fried pork chops (again, amazing) and was very happy with the "fried" cabbage and that spiced sweet potato pie! It was a holiday, that pie, and I'll be getting it again, for sure!
Eventually, I'm going to eat it all, but these are my recommendations so far. Also, the banana pudding is a chef level quality that shouldn't be underestimated! Simply put, these guys are amazing and whatever you get is going to be treated with love and passion, and that's everything you could want out of a dining experience
