The moment my family and I walk in, they try to seat us in this dark and crammed corner of the restaurant. This is a reoccurring theme. Each time we went there, they are always trying to seat us at that one table..
Next, they give one menu for a family of at least five? I guess the economy has hit them real hard. But oh wait? I see a couple next to our table with two menus! Oh jeez, I assume common sense was thrown into some soon doo bu jigae.
The wait is extremely long and the flavor of our food is nowhere near proportional to the time we waited. They love using pepper, as I found my gamja tang to be a quarter pepper.
They never refill our waters, ask how we are doing or even offer a high chair for the little ones.
We asked them if we can box the remainder of the food home, because it would be a waste for such an over priced meal to go to waste. The waitress resumes rudely and spills food over my clothes.
At this point, I am thinking, hmmmm with my years of experience working at a restaurant before too...I'll give her a little tip as a courtesy. Trust me, I am a hard working American that puts out and earns my pay each day. I know slacking off, cynical, rude and lazy when I see it.
As we are walking out, the waitress even dashingly dares to follow us out the door begging for more tip. Does money grow on trees? I wonder. I didn't see her do anything except slide food at our table, spill food on me, chew her lunch at a customers table like a cow, not fill our water and not even check up on how we are doing as a decent size party. Then she asks for a bigger tip.
Oh yeah, I was also attempted to be taken advantage of for being young, I guess they thought they could squeeze more money out of a hard working American that understand quality service better than they do.
So if you are a glutton for a bad experience with unsat service or just looking for a bold challenge, this place is for you.
