review_stars 12/13/2020 - My name is Irrelevant.
The other day I walked into this Dunkin’ Donuts and once again I was an unsatisfied customer but because this is the only dunks on my way home I was hoping for a change...just this once. That didn’t happen!

After entering the building, I became the third person in the line leading to the dunks counter. I could see the cashier tending to the customer at the counter. As alway, the cashier was wearing vinyl gloves. The customer used cash as payment. The cashier physically takes the money from the customer and places it into the cash register. The cashier then removes cash from the cash register and gives it to the customer as change. The cashier then turns and proceeds to make the customers coffee without changing her gloves. The coffee is then given to the customer at which point the customer leaves. This was repeated with the customer in front of me. The cashier who serviced the two customers before me at this point is now serving me. At this point I know if I do not document and I opt to correct the employee with authority the employee may change their gloves in this instant but there’s no way for me to trust the poor hygiene practice will not continue once I leave the store. The cashier takes my cash while still wearing the same vinyl gloves they wore during the last two transaction. The cashier puts the cash I gave them into the cash register and then takes cash and coins out of the cash register and provides it to me as change. The cashier then turns and proceeds to make my girlfriends iced coffee....but here’s where it gets detailed. When the cashier places my coffee down on the counter the cashier hand was over the top of my iced coffee (like one of those claw machine games) so their palm was on the lid and straw entrance. The cashier then turned around and collected my donuts using the same vinyl gloves, granted the cashier used parchment paper, however, there is no way for me to gauge if the cashiers gloves came in contact with any of the donuts collected. How disgusting is that? When you apply friction to vinyl gloves the vinyl separates and allows bacteria to enter; in this case cash is the culprit. When you add additional factors of body temperature and external temperature, the setting is Dunkin’ Donuts, and you add in moisture. It becomes a recipe for disaster especially during a pandemic.Cash is dirty! It’s filthy! My entire order was contaminated and instead of speaking to a brick wall I opted to destroy my items and contact corporate with a complaint. Now here’s the kicker, during the whole time I was wearing a body camera and it was all caught on video. I’ve spoken to the employees regarding the sanitation issues at this location on many occasions, pre-pandemic and more so during the pandemic. I’ve even spoken to the assistant managers. All to no avail. To them, I’m just a local. Dunkin’ Donuts corporate sent me an email requesting my video. Because the file is too large I uploaded the video to YouTube under a private link. Anyone with access to this link will be able to view the video and my choice words of review after I left the store. I am waiting for the franchise owner to reach out to me regarding my complaint in hopes to correct this issue. I deserve a full refund with interest based on the fact this isn’t the first time I’ve made a complaint to Dunkin’ Donuts. I’ve made countless. Employees and assistant managers have just never documented my complaints. Well, now I’ve documented my complaint.
