This place is as good as it gets. Plenty of on street parking, bus stop right in front of the store, they have an ATM and accept credit cards... In the mornings on my way to work I stop and get my breakfast sandwich -"bacon egg and cheese on a croisant or bagel toasted", a cup of freshly brewed coffee, my cigarettes, lottery, & paper. At lunch time we order usually as a group for pickup, since I work up the street. Besides Dominique's is usually slammed, way too expensive, & they only give half the portions this place does, fulcinities does the same. At highland variety & deli you get your money's worth and then some... They pack the meat using TLC, giving generous portions, always made fresh, on a sesame roll. I mean, this place makes wagon wheel look like a joke. Talk about boars head, you can even buy meat and cheese by the pound. They also do party platters and catering for special events or functions... So if you're looking for a good spot that makes quality food, without the long lines & wait times, not to mention expensive prices, whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner and then some, this is definitely the place for you... They even have richies italian ice, which hits the spot on those hot summer days. Did I mention they have out door seating? Watch out domeniques, & fulcinities, or wagon wheel on the other side of town, lol.... highland variety & deli will give you a run for your money.

Fast friendly service, great quality food, pasteries and more, generous portions, inexpensive prices and coupon specials... If you're looking for take out and you live in the waltham area, this is a must see... You will be surprised, I used to go to domeniques & fulcinities for years, but since this place opened 5 years ago, i have yet to go back to either, lol... I mean why would I ? The foods better here, the service is better, & it's cheaper, a no brainer....

This place is a diamond in the dirt that I happened to find. Very cheap prices for excellent food. Best sandwich I've ever had, definately highly recommend this place.
