Today I went to go pick up a large order from Pokemoto. I usually order 5-10 bowls and last time I was here they had missed a bowl. I called when I got home and asked for a refund, a nice lady answered and said "we cannot but we can give you a free bowl." I was okay with this and hung up.
So today I went in and told this exact story to an employee who then called their manager to verify, They came back and told me that the manager had already given a free bowl to me but will give me another and that would be the end of it. I was very upset by this.
This was basically insinuating that I had lied and wanted to cheat out another free bowl. Why would I need to do that? I have spent nearly $700 in 2 months at this location, what reason would I have to be a thief when I can just buy more. I tried to point this out but the employee just argumentatively said I was being upset for no reason and I should be happy to get the free bowl. I feel like they thought I was using my large order's to threaten but I was only offering it as evidence that I would not do this underhanded tactic.
I would have preferred that they say we don't have any recollection of this and asked if I had any documentation or proof. I do not and it's better to be denied this way than be accused to be a thief.
Even at the end of the interaction I began to say "When does your manager work" but I was cut off by the employee once again saying "I can't do anything more for you sir!" Then I repeated myself "When does your manager work so I can clarify this with her?"
Overall, the poke's not bad and it's probably one of the better ones outside of Boston mostly because there aren't many poke locations. I am sad I won't be returning here due to service and how the employees treat their customers.
