I made reservations with out of state guest, got there didn't get a table; had to wait about 50 minutes for a table, very disturbing won't make the drive again, need someone with restaurant experience !!!!!!!!!!!!

Well please allow me to tell you about the awful experience we just had at the Rogue River Lodge! To begin we arrived at 6:30 PM and our bar wait staff as usual was attentive and fast - this time it was Kashmir she works very hard and is under appreciated by her employer as are all of the other employees. Order was taken and drinks delivered promptly. Kashmir also took our food order this is where things start turning really bad......
After waiting 50 minutes for the house burger and the special of the night everything was finally delivered ice cold and unacceptable. All this was going on while the owner Lee Kimball was wondering around aimlessly with no business acumen whatsoever as to the fact that people were walking out and complaining of wait time for food. This was a direct result of the owners not staffing properly, Kashmir was the only person working in the entire downstairs and who knows what was going on upstairs. Anyway, by the time I was over the edge because of the service when we finally got our food as I said it was cold - not even close to being on the slight warm side. I stood up with my plate and started heading towards the owner Lee. He saw me and met me at the pass, I told him how long we had waited and asked him to feel the temperature of my meal by touching the ice box cold cheeseburger! He did, and said he would take care of it. Twenty minutes later and no appetite left my meal returned - as you may imagine the thrill at that point was gone plus after 50 minutes with my spouse waiting for the garlic bread that was suppose to come with his meal finally arrived he was over it too! You would have thought an apology would have ensued and at the very least a complimentary drink, dessert or even the entire bill would have been complimentary but no, nothing offered. I would only hope this review will give the owners a clue that that need to staff more efficiently, appreciate their employees and show a little humility and appreciation for their regular customers. The location is amazing, the employees are over the top friendly the problem is the owners not paying attention to business. When business is bad you simply must blame the managers, in this case they are the owners Lee and Anne Kimball, shame on you.
