• What Is In a Latte? A latte begins with a double shot of espresso. This espresso is then combined with several ounces of steamed milk to create a rich, creamy beverage with a thin layer of foam on top. The typical ratio for espresso to steamed milk is about 1-to-2.

• As a beverage, espresso is a concentrated form of coffee brewed with high pressure, hot water and finely ground locally roasted coffee beans. PCD uses Rimini Coffees Baldoria with Carmel chocolate and nutty notes. Espressso is thicker than regular coffee and has a layer of “crema” on top, which results from air bubbles mixing with the coffee's oils.

It is then topped with foam and cinnamon. It was developed specifically to pair and to match flavor profiles with locally roasted Rimini's Espresso, Baldoria. Chai spices typically include black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, fennel and black pepper.

• Our sweet Matcha Latte is a blend of sugar, fruit pectin and fine Japanese matcha. Matcha is made from fine, tender young tea leaves, shaded for 2 - 3 weeks, then carefully - and selectively - plucked, heated to prevent oxidation, slowly dried using low heat, and, finally, slowly ground into the traditional powder format. This blend makes a wonderful, sweet, rich drink, especially with milk or dairy alternative.
