Forget all the poor reviews you can see below, they're outdated!! Things must have changed, in a BIG way!!
I stayed in Miami on the way down to Key West a couple of weeks ago and we spent a night at this restaurant.
If you love meat, particularly RIBS!!! check it out, it was awesome, the best ribs i've had anywhere, and i have travelled.
The staff were cool, and helpful and the manager was great, he invited us into the kitchen to demonstrate how they cook the ribs, true wood smoked cooking, it was a top top night. Try it out, you;ll love it...............Enjoy!!

From my personal experience this is one of the worst establishments I have ever seen. Since the recipe of the corn bread changed everything went down hill.. The manager mainly Anthony is a sloth.. Pretty much good for nothing. The food, rarely hot, the fries cold, the floor wet, the waiters are nasty! Most of the females look like their on depressants, they are slow, inconsistent, and unfriendly...! Their is a fat white guy at night time that sits their and stares at the hostess.... Perv... As fa as management, Their is none. I believe the bathrooms are cleaner than the kitchen and mos of the managers soul...!!

Save your money and do not eat here! The food is awful, the service leaves a lot to be desired and by the looks of things they won't be around much longer anyway! What a shame, we need a family friendly restaurant in N.Miami. We have given this place too many chances. Tonight was the last!

Always inconsistent!!!
Always out of something incuding galsses.
Take out order incomplete and smaller portions.
When we tried to call no answer.

One of the worst dining experiences ever. They were out of many of the mainstays you would expect at a barbeque restaurant, such a beef ribs and prime rib. The excuse we got was that 150 people suddenly showed up for lunch from a nearby bank. Yeah right! The onion rings were luke warm, soggy, and very greasy. The brisket sandwich I got came on a dry kaiser roll. My wife ordered a medium rare steak sandwich that was supposed to come with grilled onions....what she got was an overcooked well done steak with raw onions.

Our waiter tried his best, but it is hard to make lemonade out of very sour lemons!

Never again

This is by my home and I've eaten here various times. The food is just plain bad not to mention over priced. The decoration reminds me of Mr. Moe's in the Grove which is decent if you are looking for a bar atmosphere; however, the food is not up to par. For what I pay for myself I could feed a family of six at Boston Market and the food would be much better. The only reason I give their food a 4 and not a 1 is the honey corn bread.

If you want to go to a bar go to Justins. If you want to have a good cheap dinner go to Little Havana (the resteraunt 2 blocks north of BBQ Beach).

A suggestion:
WEAR SHOES WITH GOOD GRIP! The floors there will likely cause you to fall, specially if you intend on drinking.

True BBQ fans who like Shorty's and Tom Jenkins,, but hate the drive, have found a new favorite in N. Miami. More upscale and upprice but huge portions and good food. We had the brisket plate and turkey plate. Both meats were tender and smoky, and enough for two meals (we ate again the next night at home. Some sides were imaginative and all were good---sweet potato/banana mash, apple clow slaw, old fashioned mac and cheese, great fresh vegetable medley, to name a few we tried. Honney drizzled corn bread was fresh and hot. Waitress was friendy and on top of things.
A few $$ more than our ususal, but we save that in gas by staying close to home.
