Rachel’s in Bad Axe is BY FAR our favorite place in the ENTIRE Thumb area it’s simply amazing! Never ONCE in nearly three years have had a bad meal which is something to say especially for me! From the Detroit area we are spoiled with good restaurants as a norm...have a place here since August 2018 and spent our first Thanksgiving Day (+2nd @Rachel’s)...if not for COVID would have had 3rd with them again! Rachel is SIMPLY a peach...and NEVER without a smile! It’s not on the cheap side (but then again I like the GOOD stuff lol) $$ BUT SO WORTH the money!!! You should treat yourself there...promise you will not be disappointed! THEY SIMPLY have the BEST SALMON I’ve ever had anywhere in USA travels (trust me I get it often)! And BEST broasted mushrooms EVER! I have HATED brussel sprouts MY ENTIRE LIFE BUT LOVE Rachel’s roasted brussel sprouts. Salmon chowder is good and Caesar salad is ALWAYS fresh and yummy! Our place is a 1 hour round trip there+back for a carry out BUT would do it everyday if could. We brought a hot/cold travel bag+kept warm with a blanket! It was our Valentines wish to have Rachel’s! WOW if the carryout is that GOOD after a half hour drive...slap my momma!!! Secret is now out...please don’t make our wait longer lol. The wait staff has ALWAYS been top-notch SO TIP them WELL!
