I recently visited Walker's bar after the previous owner retired and sold it. It was uncertain when the new owner would reopen, leaving us wondering about the future of the bar. Despite the waiter/cook/owner being a bit hard of hearing, the burgers and nachos were delicious, and the service was very friendly. The atmosphere at Walker's, with its preserved 40's or 50's decor, was charming and unique, making it a place I will continue to visit on trips to Northern Michigan.
