The atmosphere at this restaurant is truly captivating, with a touch of class and Italian flair that enhances the dining experience. I visited with friends and a jovial couple celebrating a milestone, adding laughter to the evening. The lobster crab ravioli with vodka sauce was a standout dish, and the attentive service from Rebecca made the meal even more enjoyable.

We went to Porto Bellos on Sunday before Memorial Day. The wait was understandable as the place was pretty busy, but from the outside, people looked satisfied. Our party of 6 was seated outside and the ambiance was nice. The night quickly went South; first and foremost due service and then by the food. Our waiter was obviously too good for the job he was doing. Maybe he was forced by daddy to get a summer job while the family toured Europe. Or maybe they took away the keys to his Ferrari. Either way the kid was a total jerk. Simple questions like “How is the Hurricane?”, and, “How is the Marsala?” were answered with a smart aleck tone. My sister-in-law was the one who finally had enough and went to the manager and asked for a new waiter. But it was too late – all of the manager’s disingenuous attention after the young punk’s removal had spoiled the evening even more. And, a poor attempt by the original waiter at an apology was pathetic.
The food – About average. The hamburger my mother ordered was dry and bland. I had the Chicken a la Jimmy, which I ordered was runny. My wife had something with bow tie pasta and sausage which was Delicious! Everything else was Eh! I wonder how much business is local vs. tourist. Not worth a second visit.

I live in a big town and travel to Western Michigan at least once a summer. I make it a point to stop at Porto Bello, everytime. They are always busy and you can tell everything is homemade, portions are huge and the service and bands rock the house! A must try is the tortolini Porto Bello, and the Chicken Marsala. Kids have a great time too!

What can I say, I travel and take my family with me and Porto Bello is by far one of my favorite places to stop by the lakeshore.
Their portions are huge, and you are tempted to eat every bite!!
The service is great and the bands rock!!
A must try is the seared tuna the zesty sausage alfedo with fresh basil is great too!!
They also have a ball room upstairs that hosts great wedding receptions I know my daughter had hers up there and Scott and Nanc are great to work with.
