A cozy, historic bar with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The friendly staff greets you like an old friend, adding to the charm of the place. The simple yet delicious bar food surpasses any other establishments in the area, making it a hidden gem worth discovering.

"Righting" reviews for 5 years and thats how i spell writing? Sounds more to me like you're entitled and mad something didnt go exactly your way.

We live in town and eat here every now and again. My boys love their chicken tenders and their burgers. It's small town bar food and it's pretty good.

Trying to keep this short.. I Have been righting restaurant reviews for the past five years and have never had quite an experience like this one.

I do a lot of traveling and try to go out of my way to support local business whenever I can. I ask the locals first off where a good non chain locally owned place to eat would be. This just happened to be The Bloated Goat in Fowlerville MI. The people I talked to said the burgers were to die for.

I arrived at the goat on 08/12/2015 at around 8:00 pm for dinner. I made my way past the smokers standing right outside of the main entrance and into the front portion of the Bar/Restaurant. I didn't seem to be busy to my as there were plenty of places to sit. I took a seat at the bar and asked for a glass of water and a menu. I looked over the menu even though I already know what I wanted, going off the recommendations of the locals. One of the three bartenders working came by and took my order. Cheeseburger deluxe with fries. I did notice that they also served onion rings and asked if they were made there or came frozen. I am allergic to onions and seam to have problems only when they are made fresh on site being that most places cook fries and rings I the same fryer. She told me they came frozen, so I was ok with eating the fries. I sat for 57 min when I finally asked about my food to another bartender being that the one that had taken my order was standing outside smoking. She looked confused and said she would check. She told me my order had never been put in. After much confusion the second bartender somehow got it in her head that I had ordered mushrooms. I really have NO idea how this happened. So after weighting another fifteen min. I was asked If I was the one weighting on mushrooms. I said no, and that I had ordered a burger. So now im watching all the confusion as the three bartenders fight with each other as to what is going on. I am told nothing. Not that my food is on the way, not that they are sorry for the mix up and it was coming, Just ignored.. After about another fifteen min I asked the second bartender who was coming in from her smoke brake if everything was figured out. Her exact word were (I have no idea). She went back behind the bar and proceeded to go back to work not even checking on the status of my food. By now I was starting to feel like my food order was an inconvenience to them. I weighted for the first bartender to come buy again and asked I everything was ok. She told me yes, and that my food was coming. Another five min. go buy and I finally get my food. Or someone else's being it was not what I ordered. In all my years of eating in restaurants and righting reviews I have never seen a deluxe burger with ONIONS and PICKLES.

Needless to say I could not eat the burger because of the onion contamination. But I will let you know that the burger meat came as a frozen patty. The bartenders DO NOT get along or communicate with each other or anyone else for that matter. And there is NO sense of pride or loyalty in any of the employees regarding the business.

I DO NOT !!! recommend even trying this establishment. If this is going on in the front, What is going on in the back..

The owner did chase me out the door asking me to let him know what was going on. So I just told him to read the reviews, politely.
