I used to live in the Upper Peninsula over 40 years ago and pasties were my favorite quick lunch and I enjoyed them so very much; but since then I was unable to get back there to enjoy them ever again, until I was eating at a restaurant in Kalamazoo, MI and read a local newspaper advertising the UP restaurant in Allegan. Less than a year later I took my mom there for lunch before she passed and we feasted on the pasties. They were delicious. I recommend them to everyone better than any other fast food restaurant.
