Same recipe as was served in the U.S. Senate for 18¢ in 1977. We've been selling this wonderful homemade soup at this price since 1977. The senate cafeteria has raised their price, but we all know Washington can't control costs. An appetizer, sandwich or entree is required to get an .18 bean soup.

After driving past for years, I finally stopped by this West Allis dive bar for a post-lunch visit. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing street construction, parking in the surrounding neighborhood is currently necessary. The atmosphere inside is typical of a dive bar with a pool table and flat screens, and they offer daily specials and a small hot food menu.
