Allgauer's recently changed their all-you-can-eat fish fry policy, which was disappointing since it was a rare and delicious option, but their menu still offers a variety of choices that satisfied my family, including flavorful cheeseburgers and excellent beer-battered lake perch. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff attentive, and while breakfast service could improve, the dinner experience-especially with the fresh fish and great Milwaukee beer-makes returning a certainty.

I visited Allgauer's to check out their menu options for a family dinner, but was disappointed to learn that they no longer offer their all-you-can-eat fish fry. Despite the change, my family enjoyed our meal with favorites like the cheeseburgers and grilled cheese, and I found the beer-battered lake perch to be particularly delicious.
