Just visited Buddy's for the first time and it was positively enjoyable. Their menu is extensive so I'll have to return often in order to try all that sounded delicious. On this visit I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich which was served on a Cordoba bun including lettuce and tomato, together with sweet potato fries. Simply marvelous. Totally enjoyed the meal and the sweet potato fries were amazing. The sandwich was served with a cup of tartar sauce that tasted so good it even made a tasty deep for the fries that only served to compliment the flavor of the sweet potato. I will be looking forward to visiting again soon and treat myself further to another epicurean delight.

I'm from Detroit Lakes. I drive truck & decided to stop at Buddies for a burger. They have a large parking lot with plenty of room to get in, turn around & park a semi. Their building is like new, bright & clean. Friendly staff & the burger i had was absolutely delicious!
Buddies will be my new food stop whenever I'm down that way!

Entered and was promptly greeted by the hostess... after that the experience went down hill. The waitress asked what we would like to start out with to drink...I ordered water and my friend ordered a bar drink...we got the water right away, but waited a long time for the other drink. She finally came over to take order and after ordering, I asked if she was going to bring the drink... she finally did and we waited a half hour for 2 medium done steaks that came back well done.. after delivering the main course, she brought our salads and asked if we needed anything else... I said ketchup and mustard and waited a good 15 minutes for her to bring it...she came back to our table and asked how everything was and I said I still needed the condiments...she brought them and the bill and asked if we needed another drink. He ordered one to drink while waiting for me to finish and the waitress to bring a to go box...(we had already been there almost n hour and a half).. we again waited while the waitress cleared 2 or 3 tables, took a table's worth of dinner orders and delivered them to their table along with their drinks while we waited for a drink that set on the bar with ice melting and a to go box.... the waitress came to the table empty handed and we again asked about the drink...she looked like a deer caught in headlights. ..last straw! We went to pay for our food and the drink we actually got...came to over $27.00....for 2 9.95 meals....I asked if the drink we didn't get was on there she said yes.....we just paid and got out of there! I know I will never return there to eat again... it was a totally bad experience after driving 3 hours to eat there... :( and the food was cold!
