Gratuity is an option when making initial payment at register BEFORE service is rendered. We decided to wait and were glad we did. Food was good but lacked presentation-soup and au jus sauce was spilled in bottom of wax lined basket making sandwiches and bread soggy sitting in a puddle. Wax basket liners tear easily. Learned that we had to get our own silverware, napkins and bus our table. Place wasn't busy yet service was slow. We happily paid for our food but didn't feel a gratuity was earned with slow service, soggy sandwiches, no place settings and bussing our own table? Hope this helps.
