This place is great! Yes they close for special events but I understand why because it’s such a unique place. Food and staff are friendly and always working their butts off. The place can be super busy but that’s a sign they are doing something right. Don’t forget to make a reservation and check website for event info.

I would give the restaurant a negative if I could. For parties of 8 or more, you have to reserve online, which I did & received an email confirmation. This was for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration, & we came from out of town & had guests from out of state. When we pulled up to the dock, we were not allowed to park. The dock boy said it was closed for a wedding & our reservation would not be honored! This was a shock to say the least.
I was able to have a text conversation where I was blamed for not checking their website to see that they were closed to the public that day. There had been a computer glitch the day I reserved apparently which they took no responsibility for. Ironically, they would have charged me $200 if we had not shown up, but there was no compensation if it was their computer error. . After more texting, I was at least offered a $50 gift card. You guessed it-never got one.
