This restaurant is a popular choice among locals. Upon entering this morning, we received prompt greetings. One member of our group, a regular customer, was greeted by name and offered his usual coffee. I ordered a half portion of the house hash browns, which was so generous in size that I couldn't finish it. The hash browns were delicious, with a perfect crispy exterior and a creamy interior filled with a variety of ingredients like cheese, ham, tomatoes, sausage, bacon, onions, mushrooms, and peppers. My husband opted for biscuits and gravy with over-medium eggs and hash browns, and he devoured his plate quickly. He mentioned that the eggs were cooked well and the hash browns were particularly outstanding. The biscuit was decent, but the flavorful gravy made up for any shortcomings. Overall, this breakfast spot is definitely worth a visit, especially if you're driving along Route 169.

Palisade is a sleepy little town on the banks of the Mississippi, but trust me, you will not be disappointed by this little cafe. The stuffed hash browns are loaded with cheesy goodness! The broasted chicken is cooked to perfection and the homemade pies are not bad either!
