Besides having some old photos of my ancestors on the wall (a total surprise!) Satellite has some of the best fishcakes I've ever tasted - not what passes for fishcakes in some of the more trendy north-shore restaurants, but the real deal, home-made Norwegian fisherman fresh herring fish cakes. I don't know of any other restaurant anywhere that has them. The rest of the food - beautiful presentation. As far as cooking - it was just like my Norwegian grandmother used to make - very well done. For the fishcakes alone - I give it four stars!

We went here for dinner last weekend on a Saturday evening. We were the only diners in the place besides a group of 4 elderly folks. My husband and son-in-law ordered the special-steak and shrimp. They both ordered the steak medium rare but they were well done. The shrimp was almost burned. I asked for fried walleye and got grilled. It wasn't too bad but a bit "fishy" tasting. My daughter ordered the french fries, which she reported were very good. As for the pie--my husband had the blueberry, very tasty. I ordered the turtle pie. It was frozen so hard I could not eat it and took it to go. When it did thaw enough for me to get my fork through it, it tasted freezer burned. Very disappointed overall. The server, a young man, seemed pretty inexperienced. He forgot our drinks among other things.

Oh my God those pies are amazing!!!!
I tried wild blue berry, cherry, apple, and every one was exceptionally delicious the best I've ever tried. It is true ,there is an old country feel to this place that I love.
If you have a chance go, try the pies and you'll know

Very unorganized place. Walk in all you see is a room with clutter off from the kitchen fire hazard. Food was alright. The owner Mrs Mckeever was our waitress, not friendly at all. Was very dissapointed. Was told it was a good place.. What happened
