My wife chose the 1894 for our 40th anniversary. She went to SS there as a child and has fond memories growing up attending services in the church.

The waitress did not know the price of the on tap domestic beer. She did not offer to find out the price. The beer was cold and the 16 oz glass was filled to around 13.

The 1894 specializes in smoked chicken wings with a nice selection of coatings. I ordered a dozen. 6 dry and 6 wet. The wings were nicely presented but were obviously cooked earlier, warmed up and sprinkled with dry rub or coated with sauce.

They were the toughest saltiest wings I have ever tried to eat. I ate one of each flavor. After about 30- 40 minutes the waitress brought the bill and then asked how we liked the food while looking at my pile of uneaten wings. I mentioned the salt problem and she said it was the local locker plant that smoked them and walked back to the bar. She could have cared less.
