The most terrible nachos I've ever had pork was nothing but fat nachos should have nacho chips not whole made potato chips never again will I eat there again and will not recommend prices are outrageous

Food was great & so was service. Husband and I had been wanting to stop there before but never had time while we’ve been passing through but we stopped yesterday and it was so worth it. We are about an hour and half away but we will be making point to come at least once a month !

We visited Baylee Jo's because we had gift certificates from an auction. We were pleasantly surprised. This place is worth the long drive! The service was attentive and the portions were generous. Our group had ribs, beef, wings, shrimp, and of course pulled pork, and all of it was delicious, not overly smokey! The fries were not your ordinary fries; they were well seasoned, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. Also, you have to try the BBQ cornbread that's topped with pulled pork and has jalapenos inside!
We were impressed with our first visit and will definitely make the trip again!!

Got 2 pork sandwiches. Both had giant pieces of fat that took up half sandwich. They need to be more attentive to what goes on the bread. I can make better myself.

Was there today and had the B-b-q pork steak and baked beans and cucumber salad and it was all good and I had to bring 1/2 of my pork steak home . But was was all good food and good and frendly service .

Last Friday my husband and I took a drive, South from St Louis, on Hwy 21. We ended up in Ironton, and decided to give Baylee Jo's a try. OMG! We both ordered the Friday All You Can Eat Shrimp Special, and were completely impressed! The shrimp were not the small kind you often get on that kind of special, but big, plump ones, well seasoned and prepared....both the fried and the grilled. And our server was excellent, right on top of things, without being overbearing or pushy....asking numerous times if we were ready for more shrimp, and keeping our drinks filled. The sides were delicious, and the house salad crisp, fresh and tasty.
We enjoyed it so much, we're returning this Friday with some family members! Highly recommend!

We HAD BEEN going to this restaurant annually for several years at the conclusion of every annual family river trip as we were very impressed with the food. However, the past two years have proven to be very disappointing. Our crowd typically requires extra tables be put together so we are talking good sized revenue and tips. Two years in a row, we were given the wrong items. Both times, we ordered bulk sides and got sides that were for one person only. The waitress brought out a plate full of ribs and only three appetizer size plates when we had six people at the table ( I guess we were supposed to share plates?). The three plates had puddles of water on them, so we asked the waitress for dry plates. (Who wants to put their ribs in dishwater?) She left to talk to the kitchen and returned with incorrect information so we had to show her the menu, meanwhile we still have no plates and our ribs are getting cold. She returned to the kitchen, came back and told us she was going to give us double of everything to make up for it. Still no plates. She returned with the new sides which were the size they should have been in the first place (not the "double to make up for it" as she had promised) still with no plates. We resort to eating our ribs without plates, and placing the bones on napkins....sides getting cold. We decide we better order another slab and this time the slab comes out with meatier ribs....(apparently you get the bad cuts when you order the ribs and bulk sides together.)

The owner's "wife" showed up to ask how our meal was. When we told her we were not satisfied with the service, she told us "I'm sorry we cannot make you happy but, we took some time off today, because some times you just have to take some time off". (How is that my problem? I am paying for food and good service, not poor service) Then she told us the waitress was new, so she made a mistake when writing the order. When we informed her that was the same thing they told us last year, she said well, the waitresses grandma was in the hospital. We informed her we were not trying to get a discount, we just wanted her to know that for two years in a row the same mistake was made. Then she told us there are only two waitresses and they were kind of busy. At this point, being tired of excuses we asked her if they were busy, then why wasn't she on the floor helping them like any other restaurant owner does when the business is busy.

Needless to say, we informed her we would not be back, at which point she informed us, she did not need our business they were doing just fine. Welllll, I'm here to tell ya, they won't be doing fine for long with management with an attitude like that.

I would avoid this restaurant completely unless you do not mind being treated rudely and talked to loudly enough for the whole restaurant to hear..

Hands down the best barbecue in Missouri! and don't miss the twice baked potatoes!

Definitely worth a trip to Ironton, MO.

Bonus great music on the porch on Saturday nights.
