The ignorance of other reviewers notwithstanding, this is as fine a creole experience as I have had outside of Louisiana proper. The atmosphere is casual, and the dining experience feels very homey. If you like the cuisine, then you'll probably stay for the entire experience. As far as a "Wop" salad being a politically incorrect term (which it really isn't in New Orleans), let's not forget that "Cajun" is actually just as politically incorrect a term for Acadians that has joined the lexicon and is accepted. You probably would be happier at McDonalds anyway.

It took over 10 minutes to get a seat the room was empty. once we were finally seated we got our drink order my sweet he was sour like you had been made 2 days before. so I drink water no big deal. Once we got our food I was so hungry The lettuce was brown. The food was awful My rice was undercooked And crunchy. Tip top of our meal We weren't even seated close to the kitchen We could hear the boss yelling at the employees. it was at that point when we left. I don't care how about a person messes up there is no reason to degrade people.

Usually great service that will go out of their way to please even if it means making something off the menu or combining different things to make you something entirely new. The owner is a great guy, the food is generally really good, and the atmosphere is nice (Cajun music and all). We wondered about the WOP thing too. Price is slightly over fast food, but quality and quantity far exceeds it.

Well if u like to wait to be acknowledged for over 10 min. and then wait for over an hour for ur food, never get checked on when ur meal has been served, and oh yeah HAIR IN YOUR FOOD then this place is the place for u, NOT ME! Saw many people walk out of this place due to being ignored!!!

Happy to be eating a Mufaletta that I picked up while driving through this town. So very good.
Amused by the WOP Post on this page.
As an Irishman I feel the same disappointment
when I drive past a MICKDONALDs
Worth the drive from Springfield and beyond...

A "WOP" salad? How ignorant, not to mention politically incorrect. I walked out after reading that on the menu.

This place is awsome. People are friendly and the food is REAL good! I heard they are moving to a better and larger location. Others must agree that this place is worth stopping in for.

Fabulous authentic food from the Bayou! Smaller cafe style seating does not take anything away from the taste. The staff is friendly as can be. Best for a special lunch. A tad more pricey than fast food, but who isn't anymore and this is not fast food. A must try.
