I have not experienced a stay here, but I appreciate the bar and the welcoming atmosphere that Moonies offers. It's a pleasant change to find a more casual setting at the lake, as opposed to the upscale pool bars commonly found in the area. While visiting the 60-mile marker last weekend, I was pleasantly surprised to see Moonies still open, and enjoyed the service, drinks, and appetizers during my time there.
