With delicious, authentic Mexican food served hot, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere, my visits to this hidden St. Joseph restaurant have always left me satisfied, despite the small salsa bowl and occasional slow service.

Good food, good service, but don't ask for some sour cream with your meal because you'll get charged for it ($2.50). Glad I didn't ask for more salsa or a glass of water.

We are spoiled and get to eat Mexican food from all over the country, and Nelly's was neither the best nor the worst. The salsa and chips were good, and the chile relleno was as well. But, the meats in the chile verde and the ground beef, chicken, and cheese enchiladas tasted like canned meats, and the sauces with each were very bland. The fajitas might have been much better. We will order that the next time we come through. The serving sizes were small also, even though they come on huge plates. The enchiladas are made with taco size tortillas. Restaurant is very clean and service very good. Prices were reasonable. Wish they offered margaritas, but the beer was ice cold. Like I said, not the best, but not the worst either.
