We love everything about Lorenzo's -- pizza & dine-in.

We have been to Lorenzos more than a handful of times. The food has always been at least decent and usually very good. Their service, on the other hand, has not been to the level of a small local restaurant trying to make it when you can get fabulous service at a number of other restaurants, local, chain or otherwise...

Our first bad service experience was with a very rude server who made an idiotic comment to our little girl who had only had glasses a few days, resulting in a 1 star. We dealt with this through the owners, they made the situation right, and we continued going, knowing they can not control what comes out of every server's mouth. They went back to a 4 or 5 star after this.

We continued going a couple more times always averaging a 4 star experience--both food and service.

My most recent experience with them is what truly let me know that they really don't care if they make it or not.

My uncle passed away, making it impossible to have his funeral anytime besides Valentine's day. We called the day it happened (5 days prior to funeral) to ask if they could accommodate us for a late luncheon and were told no b/c they're not making reservations at all on Valentine's. (Not being unreasonable, I understand this for a typical reservation, but in this situation, they would make more off of our party of 20 in 2 hours than what they would typically make in 1 night....) It took them 2 days to come to this response (so even took thought to give poor service). When I got their voice mail, I quickly called back, trying to be understanding and asked if they'd be willing to make us a pan of their lasagna instead. This was THURSDAY. I was told no, they need a minimum of 7 days pre-ordering so they have proper "groceries" in house to accommodate such a request.

We have just washed our hands of Lorenzo's completely. We will not be back or recommend them to ANYONE else for any reason. Lorenzo's, I don't know how you think you're going to make it. Your food is good, but isn't good enough to carry you with service like that. Sad. We really wanted to like your little place and share you with the rest of our family.
