01/02/2025 - Fat L.
We dropped by while road-tripping and had a late afternoon breakfast that was absolutely delicious - pancakes, eggs, huevos rancheros, and salad. I really wish we lived closer so I could eat here all the time. The cafe is run by some really nice, hardworking folks who have created a cozy spot to take a breather and enjoy some good food. It was a pleasant surprise to find such tasty Mexican fare in this small Montana town - the huevos rancheros were just as good as any I've had before. The menu may not be extensive, but we were told there's more available if you ask. The prime rib sandwich was decent, but the Green Chile Soup was packed with flavor and had a nice kick from the Anaheim Chiles. The owners were super friendly and even took the time to come chat with us. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a stop for a clean, welcoming cafe with a range of delicious Mexican dishes, burgers, and hot sandwiches. While not the cheapest option, the generous portions and homemade quality make it a satisfying choice. Run by a dedicated retired farmer, his wife, and daughter, this cafe is a fantastic place to enjoy a meal and support local providers. It would make for a great post-skiing spot or a nice break between Cody and Billings.
