There's this bakery on my route to Atwater market, Vova Patisserie. I've been eyeing it since it set up shop in Verdun. Finally popped in this summer and found a treasure trove of goodies. The frozen pelmeni and pierogies are a game-changer for a quick and tasty meal at home. The lady at the counter is super helpful and will guide you through cooking them perfectly. Plus, they have a great selection of Eastern European imports like dog rose tea and real feta cheese. And don't get me started on their sour cherry jam - perfect for Sunday morning pancakes! I might just become a regular here.
