06/08/2013 - Melissa
Over the past twenty years, my family has eaten at this particular PH five times. Of those five times, we had always said we were never going back. Yet in twenty year's time--bad employees/managers moving on--you would think there would be improvement in this restaurant. Well, after a five year hiatus, we tried it again, after my daughter's insistence that she had this exact order at a Rainsville, AL Pizza Hut, and how delicious it was. We tried to explain to her that at Gadsden's Pizza Hut, she was NOT going to have the same experience. We know now, beyond a shadow of a doubt, there is no hope for this restaurant. We placed an online order, received confirmation of order, left our home to pick it up, and received a call double-checking our order(at least they did that right and didn't wait till we showed up) They wanted to hear the entire order again, stated that even though our printed receipt gave us a total of $20 and some change, stated our order would be $27. After explaining we had already ordered, and our total was different, we could hear someone (we think the manager) getting angry that we were disputing that charge, and they would do nothing to rectify the situation. Needless to say, it was 9:00, we were hungry, with no pizza. We were still on the phone explaining our order 10 minutes after the time we were told to pick it up. Having worked in food service before, I can honestly say this restaurant has the poorest decades-long customer service of any restaurant I have ever frequented. Pizza Hut Inc. should be ashamed allowing this to continue. (Looks like I'm not the only one...Drove by today and there were two cars in the parking lot at lunch hour.)
