I always head to this ice cream place whenever I'm in Austin! I've been going to this Austin chain for over 30 years now. A friend's teammate suggested we try Amy's ice cream while we were in Austin, and despite getting caught in a rainstorm and our campsite flooding, it was totally worth it for the delicious double scoop of mint and dark chocolate!

I rode my bike to Amy's on Guadalupe this evening anticipating a delicious ice cream sundae and what I got was anything but that. I have to say the young man that helped me was friendly and professional, but the sundae really didn't taste good at all. In fact I threw most of it away. The ice cream wasn't cold and the chocolate sauce was stiff and lumpy, the whip cream didn't even taste good. How can a sundae not be delicious?...I really don't know but somehow it managed to completely disappoint. Next time I'll save my $5 and go to baskin robbin's for a tasty sundae that is sure to delight.
