Aneka Rasa's minimalist decor serves to create a relaxed an uncluttered environment. As soon as you walk through the door, a live seafood aquarium and solid wood reception area welcomes you, which is a reflection of old Malay culture and style. The wooden theme is carried onwards to the chairs, tables, and bathrooms to create a comfortable but authentic village, or "Kampong", fashion. Solid earth tones, granite, and brick walls create a contrast of textures while modern spotlights give the additional charm of eating out in an open starlit sky. The brick walls in the back of the restaurant are adorned with three paintings of Malaysian artist Eng Tay. The paintings highlight themes deeply ingrained in Malaysian culture, which are family, culture, and food. Aneka Rasa's food is inspired and prepared by Malaysian chefs to reflect authentic Malaysian Cuisine. Malaysia has long been the crossroads in Southeast Asia and the country's foods reflect that. Malaysian cuisine blends Thai, Indian, Chinese and local Malay tastes to create original Malaysian cuisine. This includes the spiciness of Thai food, the exotic spices found in Indian food, the wok stir-fry style of Chinese food, and original Malaysian tastes. At Aneka Rasa, the seafood dishes are prepared with live seafood from their indoor aquarium tanks. Aneka Rasa also goes through great lengths to gather spices faithful to true authentic Malaysian cuisine. Aneka Rasa features many exclusive Malaysian dishes that cannot be found in any other Malaysian restaurants in Boston or in the United States! These specials include Nine Level Cake, Otak-Otak, and Eight Treasure Duck.

Not too pricey. The food is delicious. Gives traditional Malaysian cuisine. This is a must.
