I am the commander of a local Veterans of Foreign Wars post. One of our auxiliary members scheduled La Rue Bayou tonight for our Food Truck Friday event which everyone was excited for. Particularly me as I am from New Orleans. We advertise our food truck Fridays and we hope the food trucks advertise as well.
I was just getting ready to go to the post to try La Rue Bayou when I got a text from our auxiliary president say La Rue Bayou showed up and then promptly left. I asked if they gave a reason for leaving. They apparently said they wouldn't make enough money.
This was one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful actions a business can perform. Not mention disrespectful to combat veterans and their families.
If you're a non-profit organization, I would highly recommend not booking this food truck for your event. They have proven they are unreliable and could leave you empty handed for your event.
