The food was average. The pizza was one step above Domino's and about the same as pizza hut. The problem we have with this restaurant is that they feel it's ok to charge me an additional 2.75 % to use my credit card. When we come down to the island as winter texans for 3 months each year, we don't like to carry alot of cash and prefer to use pur credit cards. We will no longer support The Meatball Cafe or other establishments that implement a credit card surcharge. There are just too many other places that will gladly accept my credit cards.

$95 bill and the worst meal I have had on the island this year. First time there about 3 years ago ,Rhonda was there and food and service were great. Not so yesterday. Veal Marsala was tender but so sweet it was not edible. Veal Picatta tender but flavor was weird. Too much lemon, capers overdone as well too many artichokes made the fish sour. We have eaten both these dishes everywhere from New York to California and most were good to excellent. We also prepare the dish at home. Veal mostly is cut thin. Ours was like a thick steak and the taste was overpowering. Normally, veal is sliced thin so the taste is smooth. Don't order either of these dishes at The Meatball. Also, the pasta was overcooked and real starchy. This Chef needs some homework. Terrible preparation and overpriced. Server was a nice guy.

The best Italian food I've every tasted in my life. The wine was out of this world fantastic. The staff was the most kind and excellent service .The interior also exterior is very romantic and pleasing.I will be back very soon and often too.
