The best sandwhich I ever had in my life was 'The Red Onion' I used to live in Burlingtonm, now in Charlotte, North Carolina. My brothers also had the sandwhich, one of them lived in Burlington as well. When we talk about it our mouths water and we say to each other " the 18 hour drive is so worth it just for this sandwhich. Not the turning of the leaves, not the maple syrup or maple candies, not the awesome skiing, not even Ben & Jerry's. If only we could transport the 'Red Onion ' sandwhich; right out of the oven on warm, toasted, home made honey oat bread to the South! One can only dream....
