This was a restaurant that my wife wanted us to try because she had heard that it had received great reviews. I was a skeptical based on some of the reviews I’d read but she started giving me the “look” so I knew better than to argue and decided to give it a try.
And she was right. The food was excellent, the staff helpful and our waitress, Rosy, particularly friendly. Overall it was an excellent dining experience until the end when I attempted to pay for our meal with my credit card. Our waitress asked to see a photo ID before accepting my credit card. I was flabbergasted. Seriously? Merchants can’t make the production of a photo ID a condition of using this credit card to complete a sale and normally I take issue when asked by any merchant. But the waitress had been so friendly throughout the dinner and she was simply doing what the management had told her. So I let it go and produced it.
One has to wonder about the utter senselessness of the management there. I have NEVER in my life been asked for a photo ID to use a credit card to pay for a meal at a restaurant. After all, what’s the management going to do? Refuse to accept my credit card as payment for a meal that I’ve already eaten? Completely asinine! We were first time dinners who had an excellent dining experience and very likely would have returned. Never again!
