Durbins in Midlothian
Went to have a good time with my kids and catch up with my friend in the area. Everything was fine until it was time to pay and use a Groupon. The “nice waitress” became very argumentative so we requested a manager. Manager came out in defense mode as though she wanted to fight us. She was rude, argumentative, disrespectful, and an embarrassment to this establishment. I couldn’t believe how she approached us and how she stood there yelling. So what was the issue? Well I paid $17 for $30 worth of food and was told:
1. I can’t use it because I ordered the 60 cent wings(which I asked for the 8 piece on the menu and was told to get the 60 cent wings because they are on sale) without thinking I accept.
2. I can’t use Groupon at all (not the $30 deal or the $17 I paid into the deal) and was told to pay in full with cash or card.
3. I can’t get bill adjusted to accommodate “my problem”.
Most alarming and disrespectful comments that came from “the manager” were the following:
If you read the Groupon thoroughly you would’ve known that.
It’s your responsibility to tell your waitress up front it says it on the Groupon. (After pulling Groupon up and showing it doesn’t say that she replies) well it’s on the paper on the back so l don’t care.
There’s absolutely nothing I can do to help you.
Your trying to get over on the system.
Your trying to get free food.
The customer is not always right and that’s your fault now you have to deal with it.
I don’t have to change anything to accommodate you because you didn’t read it.
This place is privately owned so if you want to make a complaint I’m the one you talk to and I’ve already explained myself.
I’m going to go back in the back and if you have any other issues I’ll be sure not to come back over here to explain anything to you.

She came off like a bully and was talking down to us and belittling us. Despite how she was talking, I remained professional. She was clearly trying to push my buttons to get a “reaction” out of me. But to her surprise I wasn’t getting low to her level.
After what felt like hours we were assisted by a lady who said she was a manager as well. Within 2 minutes she explained and accommodated us in a respectable way.
I will NEVER go there again!
