During the warmer months, I enjoy spending time at Skippers by the river. The relaxed atmosphere, tasty food offerings like BLTs and quesadillas, and good drinks make it a great spot to unwind and enjoy the view. The live music adds to the fun vibe, and the friendly service always makes me feel welcome.

Waited by the door for over 5 minutes. Then finally someone said to seat ourselves. (No sign was present stating that)
My wife and I sat down for 20 minutes while others that came in after us were being handed menus and getting their drinks. Still nothing for us. We felt invisible. All this time the waiter and two waitresses made eye contact with us every time they passed us but never acknowledged us to say they would be right there. Finally my wife says to the waitress "we're going to leave since everyone after us is being served yet we continue to be ignored."
The waitress turned and said " we're very busy and doing the best we can."
Needless to say, our first impression was a horrible one and we will never be back.
