08/20/2017 - George C
I was driving from New Jersey to MA and wanted to stop in CT for Indian food. I love Indian food!!
I asked Siri and she directed me to Zaytuna restaurant on Main St in Danbury CT. If I could find Siri I would strangle her. If you are driving in Connecticut and you are in the mood for Indian food DO NOT GO TO ZAYTUNA RESTAURANT!!! It is HORRIBLE.
I went in to an empty room which should have been my first clue but I was in a hurry. I thought it would be quick since no one else was in the restaurant. I ordered vegetable Samosa for an appetizer and waited about 20 minutes FINALLY it came, two little over baked pieces which were terrible.
I love chicken curry so I ordered it. After half an hour out came my chicken curry. Three pieces ON THE BONE , a dinner big enough for my 18 month old grandson. NO rice. I asked, " where is the rice?"
You did not order it I was told. NEVER have I had checked curry served with no rice. $ 22.00 for two tiny
chicked wings and one tiny thigh.
TERRIBE, TERRIBE, TERRIBLE. !!!! RUN DONT WALK out of Danbury and away from the Zaytuna Indian restaurant. You will be happier if you stop and the next Taco Bell you see.
Siri, you are lucky you did not run into me tonight!!!
