I have never had a dining experience like I had at Sweet Pea's. My wife and I went to Connecticut to celebrate our ten-year anniversary and we stayed at the Manor House Bed and Breakfast. They recommended Sweet Pea's and we went.
Not only was the food spectacular (I highly recommend the fried spinach as an appetizer- incredible), but the customer service and atmosphere was one of a kind. Paul Panettiere, the owner, made us feel like we were in his home instead of his restaurant. He is extremely personable and sets a great ambience in which to dine.
Overall, I would have to say that my dining experience at Sweet Pea's was the best I have ever had. I've had good food before, I've had good service before, I've had a good ambience before; but I have never had all three to the extent I had here. If you are within 100 miles of Winsted, CT, it would be well worth your time to dine here.
