Wow...! Been telling a friend about this spot for a minute & tonight was the night & they did not disappoint, what a delight..... Surprised her with some jerk chicken which she wanted & I wasn't sure what I wanted so the gentleman offered me a taste of their brown stew chicken with bones & a piece without..I was sold RIGHT away. Smh...shaking my head, everything was good & my friend who is such a finicky eater LOVED it. To me, they are the best in DC, and their portions are unbelievably big. I got us the small plates and we, can eat, annd it was PLENTY!!!! My friend now has a new jamaican spot & it's a win win. You have to try them for yourself. Loved the customer service, the food. Thumbs up all the way!

I HAVE TASTED THE FOOD WHICH WAS PRETTY GOOD. I HAVE TRIED TO GET DELIVERY SERVICE OVER 6 TIMES NOW TO THE WASHINGTON HOSPITAL CENTER WHICH CONSISTED OF MORE THAN 5 ORDERS AND EACH TIME THEY DIDN'T HAVE A DRIVER. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

The customer service is TERRIBLE! The owner's son has a Napoleon complex. When they first opened, my co workers went and our orders were completely screwed up. When we called to explain, we were told he couldn't do anything about it.

Watch Your Orders.
I know times are hard but the brother left some food out of the order after I specifically asked if it was included.
Other than that the food is good.

The oxtail stew is absolutely delightful. Their prices are reasonable compared to the JUNK FOOD industries like Wendy's charging over seven dollars for bag of over processed food. I depend on Taste of Jamaica's food for nourishment, to sustain these long hrs at work. PLZZZZZZZZZZZ try the jerked chix with Fricasseed black sauce.

This is the best Jamaican food in the area, a lunch portion is plenty, Go for the Curry or Jerk Chicken.

I went to get lunch around 1pm, however it wasn't my first time going there. The place seemed to be cleaned so I went there again for the second time. Upon ordering my food, I order the dinner portion except the dinner portion seem to be a whole plate of rice & peas a small portion of cabbage and oxtails. I expected more. I highly don't recommend going to this or some of the other Jamaican restaurants because they believe in robbing their customers of portion of food.

This restaurant steals portions of food from you. When you're trying Jamaican Food, look at the portion of rice they give you compare to the other portion of your food.

Do Not Go to this Place!

The food is reasonably priced and very good. I go there after work from time to time and the place gets better and better.
