As a 1st time visitor, I had the distinct pleasure to dine here Monday evening with a friend from Arlington. Besides feasting on some scrumptious calamari and other dishes, I topped off the meal with a delightful orange muscat dessert wine, Quady Winery's Essensia, which locals may not know has won competitions on the West Coast. My compliments to Carlyle on knowing how to select a superb dessert wine!

Please disregard my previous remark about the wine I critiqued. While it is still outstanding, and while the restaurant made a superlative choice, it is Quady Black Muscat Elysium--not orange muscat Essensia. Please pardon my error and please accept my apologies. My memory is not as sharp as it used to be. Carlyle--I'll be back on my next trip to the DC region.

This is in my top 3 favorite restaurants of all time and I eat out a lot. The food is always amazing. Love the lobster filled dumplings, the trout with pecans is out of this world and the desserts are to die for. Also the Mojitos here are delicious and authentic!

Awesome food, incrediblly attentive service and an energetic, exciting atmosphere. Be sure that someone at your table orders the Beef Ribs and don't pass up dessert - if you never have a Flourless Chocolate Waffle from Great American Restaurants you will live an unfulfilled life. The greatest restaurant in the DC area!!
