This is my favorite restaurant! I have lived in DE about 5 yrs. and until I tried this restaurant, I was so disapointed and bored with everything else. I have brought so many people to this place and everyone LOVES it. I try everything on the menu and it is all wonderful. You can actually hear yourself talk in this place and it is very cozy and clean. The flavoring in all their dishes is delightful and different. I cannot say enough good things. I only wish I had known about it sooner. The name of the restaurant is misleading and doesn't do justice to the Peruvian cuisine of all kinds they serve.

Tired of pizza, Mexican food? Want to try something different? Visit the Chicken House in Newark, DE; excellent Peruvian Cuisine, homemade meals, decent prices, good service. This has now become my family's favorite restaurant. Place sits about 60 people. Our favorites are: LOMO SALTADO, CHARCOAL GRILLED CHICKEN, PARRILLADA & CEVICHE MIXTO.

For those who are interested in eating delicious rotisserie chicken, with distinct seasoning and dipping salsa that rocks, you must check this place out. The cuisine becomes more specific to traditional dishes that are quite authentic, per my Peruvian. My husband loves to go here, especially before a big training day. He's an Ironman athlete and Charcoal House has an Ironman menu. <3 it!

Went to The Chicken House with a friend to try this place I have heard so much about, especially from co-workers. Had their charcoal grilled chicken, and boy was it good, delicious and tender. Best chicken I ever had. My friend has a platter that consisted of a grilled steak, covered with onions, tomato and a sauce called chorrillana..This platter was also excellent. We told our waitress it was our first time, and they complimentary us with a free dessert, which I took home. My wife and I try it, it was rice pudding, very good as well. Will go back to The Chicken House. Loved it!

Tried their charcoal grilled chicken, and it was delicious! Their chicken oven sits near the sitting area, and u can actually watch how the chickens rotate and cook over charcoal!! Excellent flavor and tenderness. Loved the yellow spicy sauce too.

I'm from Peru and This is the best Peruvian charcoal roasted chicken I had. They are always expanding their menu which is good!!. I ate in there couples times before, The waitresses were good but a little slow when it comes to ask you if everything goes OK or for the check...they have to work on that, Other than that the food its just Delicious!!! nice place an environment.... Go Peru!!!

Was there on Father's Day, full house (small place). Nice variety of chicken, beef, pork and seafood. Our group tried different platters and everyone was very pleased! I had the Jalea..and it was delicious, talking about fresh seafood! This is good homemade food :) I am a Peruvian food lover, but only had it when I visited NY City.. now it is just around the corner!! Music inside restaurant was nice to, different from the usual.

The best peruvian rotisserie chicken I've had in the US. The spicy sauce is out of this world!!!. I would recommend the chicken and also Lomo Saltado and Arroz Chaufa (peruvian version of Chinese Fried Rice). Their Cebiche and Jalea (seafood) are great too!!. They also have Chicha Morada which is a beverage made of purple corn. You will not be disappointed.

I visited the Chicken House after reading and hearing positive things about this small Peruvian Restaurant; and I have to say this is now one of my favorites restaurants. Their charcoal grilled chicken is delicious, their spicy yellow sauce was perfect. My husband had a dish called Lomo Saltado, which it was also very taste. Meal size are big, prices are good. They also have pork and lots of seafood dishes. It is always a full house on Sundays, so our family tries to go during the week. Great new addition to Newark!
