We have taken friends and family here to eat many times. Each and every one wanted to go back soon. Remember, they close for July to go on vacation. This year they were also closed through August for "unforseen reasons." So best to call ahead to make sure they are open.

They ARE what a Polish restaurant should be! The first time I ate there I would have sworn my dear departed Mom was in the back cooking the city chicken and the pierogi!! It was that WONDERFUL! Fabulous food and wonderful staff!! NEVER disappointed!! I live in Salem Michigan and they are so worth the drive!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sabina's Polish food is better than the restaurant's in Hamtramck. If you have any doubts, all you have to do is try Sabina's. Good food, service, prices, and large portions. For Polish food, I'm coming here from now on.

We have been coming to Sabina's for several years, we Love this place !
Everything on the menu is delicious and authentic. The cheese nalesniki is
amazing.... this is one of my fav items on the menu. My husband loves the Polish
combo plate, which includes a lot of everything. Sabina's has Great food, very generous portions, great prices, and an amazing, on the ball & friendly staff. They make you feel welcome and at home. You will not leave hungry. PS: The mac and cheese is home-made and Wonderful. This is comfort food at its Best.

Eaten here many of times, but recently has gone downhill! Sat at a table with family for 15 minutes and no service. I realize if it was busy no big deal! 3 tables were occupied and there were 6 waitresses talking among themselves finally walked out and no one said a word to us! Won't be back ever! Prior to this my last carryout was missing food and wrong order in bag! I called to see what could be done? They didn't seem interested in correcting error!

Just had lunch there today, 7-17,14. The food was OK, but seemed to have way too much pepper in their stuffed cabbage, for some of my quests tastes. The pierogi were ok, but prefer our were a bit more crisp than soft. They were very busy but were quick to take care of us and the amount of food was very generous. Some were disappointed that they no longer have a breakfast menu, which is unfortunate, as some wanted breakfast not lunch.

It seems to be hit and miss at Sabina's. Some things are outstanding and others, not so much.
I love the boiled ribs but I went on Wednesday instead of Tuesday and the special was Roasted Chicken. The portion was generous but the chicken tasted old. The skin was quite tough so I know it wasn't a fresh bird. I do like their soups and I will go there again but I won't be ordering the Roast Chicken. If I get another bad meal, I will probably cross them off my list, but this was the first time I was really disappointed in the food.

If I didn't know better, I would swear my busha (grandma) was in the kitchen. Love it. Real Polish food. If you were raised on this food, it'll take you back to when you were a kid. Enjoy!

we both got the combo plate and let say 1st we have been going there for about 12 yrs now never had a problem until today .the cabbage roll tasted old and when the waitress ask i simply explaned to her and my boyfriend tasted his and agreed i also explained that it has never tasted like this and the waitress asked if we would like something else in its place so we agreed on another freash kabasha. when waitress returned she brought 1 piece and said the lady in the kitchen said if you want mor you have to by it and that was all we was getting i told her why should i pay for something that didnt taste good the lady from the kitchen was very rude and lacked coustomer service instead of trying to satisfy a coustomer she was tell me what i was going to do then i told her that i refuse to pay 9.50 for that meal that she can charge me for 2 meatballs and some corn if that was the way she wanted to be then she took the plates and made my boyfriend pay for his and told me to not come back because i refuse to obey her so if you dont mind getting bad food that taste like its on the virge of giving you food poisoning and being treated like crap from the owner then may i sugest going to a really nice polish resturant in the downriver area it is very athenic and has been on the food channel with really great reveiws .

The food is great!!!!! I can never make up my mind so I end up with the combo plate and a side of great cucumbers. And of course I have no room for dessert so I have to take it home, sometimes crumb cake or the specialty cake or both and the rice pudding, great. Keep up the good work.

We ate at Sabina's in Melvindale many many times. The food is outstanding Polish. I'm of Polish heritage and their cooking is just like my Grandmother and Busha used to make. From their pierogi , stuffed cabbage, breaded pork chops, city chicken - yum yum , and boiled potatoes to all their Soups, it's worth the visit to enjoy authentic Polish cooking at it's best. Try the desserts -- their cakes are to die for with their mouse fillings. The only thing I didn't care for is their kielbasa -- they should use Dearborn Sausage kielbasa.

The golabki were superb. The dill pickle soup was very good. I like the barley touch my wife not as much. the kapusta is a bit different than I'm used to but very good. I loved the creamed cucumbers. Went back again and this time had the boiled spare ribs cooked in kapusta. Excellent. I didn't have them but the rest of my family thought the city chicken was very good. Cherry and apple crumb cake for 50 cents. It is not one of those places you get a lot of food for little money and everything is sort of the same and fried. It is excellent food in Polish (american) style, prepared in a clean environment with friendly waitstaff for not much money.

DO NOT EAT AT SABINA'S POLISH RESTAURANT IN MELVINDALE, MI!!! Seriously. This place is NASTY!! Cabbage soup with no hint of tomato at all. The kraut had NO FLAVOR. The stuffed cabbage had absolutely no flavor either and the pierogis I had tasted like they were fried, BURNT, then frozen and reheated in the microwave and served to me a week later! The kielbasa my husband had was freezer burned beyond belief before it was cooked. My daughter's grilled cheese wasn't even fully melted and the potato chips served with it were STALE! If you want good Polish food, please go elsewhere!!!

Everything is tasty and the $ is on target! A nice change from the usual burger and fries.

Being of Polish Heritage it is always nice to be able to get a close to " home cooked meal." My daughter just loves the sweet cheese pierogi's and my husband's favorite it the pork chops. My favorite is the dill pickle soup, mmmmmmm...good!!

The amount of food and the quality of the food is a great value for the price!!
