My wife and I were looking forward to a great meal/ dining experience and came away hungry and disappointed. We ordered Chicago Sushi at 8:10 as an appetizer and finally received it at 8:50. They were not busy, probably five tables occupied at the time. When we arrived a waitress took our drink order, a bottle of Oberon for me and a lemonade for my wife. The Oberon was served by another waitress but no lemonade. My wife reordered the lemonade and it was served and she ordered Chicago Sushi. The Oberon was skunked but not one to complain I drank it, because of that I ordered an Oberon draft for my second beer which took 10 minutes to be served. At 8:40 we asked our waitress about the sushi, she asked the sushi chef and he apparently said one minute. When we ordered the sushi initially I didn't see the sushi chef. He came out from the room behind the bar around 8:20, made sushi for another table and delivered it to the table. Then disappeared. He returned around 8:30 and it looked like he was making our sushi, around 8:40 (around the time we asked about our sushi) I told my wife he was making rice in a big rice cooker. I'm not sure when he finished our sushi but at 8:50 another waitress, not ours, noticed our sushi sitting on the bar and brought it to our table. We had no plates on our table to eat from so at that point I went to the bar to ask for the manager and told her of our experience. She was very apologetic and said the delay was because the sushi chef had to make rice; what?! You offer two pages of sushi on the menu and he didn't have rice prepared? When our sushi was prepared why didn't he deliver it to our table like he did the previous order? The waitress asked us if we were ready to order our meal and we declined having waited so long for the sushi. The mgr. didn't charge us for the sushi and was apologetic but a little confused about us not wanting to order our dinner. We paid our bill for the drinks, I took my wife to Wendy's and we went home disappointed and hungry. In my 53 years I have never complained at a restaurant but this was ridiculous, especially since we traveled from out of town to eat there and had heard great things about the Chubby Trout.

Excellent service and the food is outstanding. The bartender Rachelle is awesome. Cant wait to go back and bring my friends.

Excellent food & service. Love all the unique choices. Quality place. My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our first visit. We'll definitely be back!

terrible! Says it all. Bland Bland Bland... poor quality... Go for Beer- AVOID the food!!
