I was at Cowboys last Saturday night with 12 other friends. We will not be back. The hostess was beyond rude. We sat a long table. In order to talk to the people at the end of the table you had to speak up. We were asked to keep down the noise by the hostess in rather rude way. We did lower our voices without a hassle thinking all's good. We waited 45 minutes to get our meal after ordering. 2 people in our group were drinking beer. They were put on a 2 beer limit. The waitress was willing to serve them a 3rd beer but hostess stopped her from doing so. We can't understand why because they 2 people drink were actually the quietest people in the group. when food arrived. the side dishes were cold and the steak was so-so. When the bill came we got a shock. 13 people in the group with separate checks for each couple and the single persons check. So 7 separate checks. You would think that is 7 separate orders wouldn't you? Nope. The hostess added 18% on each check for the tip because we were a "group". That was shame because most of us tip in the 20% range but when someone tries to force you to tip for lousy service it not right. The waitress lost money from us. Most of us insisted the 18% charge was removed and we tipped the waitress but less than what she would have received had hostess not tried to extort us for the tip.
