I love this restaurant! It's hard to find a place that makes all their meals from scratch,right down to hand breaded chicken tenders, fluffy mashed potatoes and the daily specials that are always enough to fill me. Where else can I go and get a meal like mom makes (with my drink) for 5.99?? On Mondays I bring the kids and they eat for a buck and we cant beat it. As for the $8.99 MONSTER burger...have you seen the size of it? And it has everything you could imagine on it (lol) and they still hand patty them. We LOVE their breakfast...OMG...best in Marion county (Hands down!!)

Very reasonable prices. The Goulash was wonderful. Quite a variety on the menu and specials board. Staff is friendly. Not the most modern of facilities, but you are in Citra FL. Looks like there is no problem seating larger parties. I will not hesitate to return.

I eat lunch at this place nearly every day, for years and years now. Their prices are very reasonable, and I like to support local family owned businesses. The food is the always fresh and attractively presented, and the wait staff is the best! I always recommend this restaurant to people visiting the area, and they have not been disappointed. To the person who wrote the bad review, you just don't know a good thing when you see it, and your facts are wrong.

very nice waitress the day we visited-very unappealing atmosphere-very dirty entry door and windows and floor-kitchen appeared clean-wide menu selection-very pricey for what it is-you can go to a fancy beautiful country club for a hamburger for $8.99 which is what they are charging here at the hitching post-they are the only restaurant in town and for many surrounding miles on 301-so you're stuck
