The food and service at this place were both really good. Despite its unassuming location, the steak "asada" tacos were the best in the Jackson metro. The restaurant has a Mexican trinket store vibe and a friendly wait staff, offering authentic and affordable options like the beef chimichanga lunch special that was a generous portion and delicious.

I have been going to El Mariachi since they opened. I have always had a wonderful experience there. The food is fantastic, fresh, & well priced. In fact, since they have opened there has yet to be another Mexican restaurant that measures up to the quality of their food. My favorites include the chile rellanos, Mariachi Dip, fajitas, oh and the guacamole is amazing! Very family oriented environment. It is the only place my children ever request to go.
