I went to Trumble Kitchen about 2 years ago and the food and service was just O.K. It was nothing to rave about, but there was no reason not to go back. Two nights ago I was in Hartford on business and I decided to take my clinet there. It was raining out and I was able to park close, so due to covienence we went in. The hostess was polite, but did not seem comfortable with greeting people. Our waitress did not seem to be knowledgable about the menu, which was very dishartening. She did not offer to go ask the chef my questions to get me the anwser. She was short and extremely brief w/ no personality. She did not take notice when my drink was empty and I had to ask for refills of 7&7's. I ordered the meatloaf because I was in the mood. The mashed potatoes where extremly runny and over cooked. The french green beans where not crisp. My client who I took out to dinner found a long piece of hair in her food, which she went into the bathroom due to being nausus from finding that. The waitress never came over to ask how the meal was. I was able to grab the hostess and I asked for the dining room manager. The person whom she went over to and passed the message onto looked up but never came over to our table. The waitress brought us our check and said nothing but "here you go" and walked away briskly. This was the worst resturant I have ever been to. I have been fortunate to eat at The Frech Laundry in Napa, Nobu's in NY City, John George's in NY, Commanders Palace in New Orleans. I am very aware what great resturants are. This place was pricey for what it was w/ service and food that do not meet any standards. Buy the way I would like to say I was in the resturant early in the night way before they got busy and there was no excuse for this type of horendous service and food. I head caution to everyone: DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A group of us were in Hartford, CT the weekend of June 12th for the Women of Faith Conference. On short notice the Trumbull Kitchen team accommodated my group of 26 in a princess like fashion. The food was excellent and service unbelievable. Go there if you are in Tom!!!
