We live in the neighborhood and Pauoa Chop
Suey has become one of our standbys. My daughter always wants to eat there when she returns on vacation. My favorite is beef broccoli on fried noodles. Don't like this anywhere else.

While I agree with the previous review that the food is a little bland, it has a delightful atmosphere, the staff is helpful and friendly, it's inexpensive, and you do get a lot of food for the money. I was new to town, so found myself eating there regularly while waiting for my stuff to arrive. They are fast and the food, while bland, tastes good.

Recently went to Pauoa Chop Suey and ordered 5 dishes (pork with sin choy (sweet-sour mustard cabbage), ham har beef with ong choy, crispy gau gee mein and two daily specials, jai (monks' food and walnut shrimp for $45. Sadly, the food was very bland bordering on tasteless. I think it used to be pretty good but maybe it was sold to new owners or ?? Cannot/would not recommend it. Sorry.,
